ColorShield™ UV Paint Preserver protects and restores murals and decorative painted surfaces from fading and deterioration. ColorShield™ is a mural coating specially designed for fine art mural preservation. Apply ColorShield™ anytime to create a flexible and breathable barrier for paint that provides long-term protection against ultraviolet (UV) light, corrosion, and water damage. This innovative consolidant fuses paint layers while using UV absorbers to prevent fading, cracking, and chalking (efflorescence). When applied over aged murals, it restores faded pigments to their original vibrancy and creates a flexible, durable paint film. ColorShield™ is a non-hazardous product that can be used for outdoor and indoor paint protection and restoration. Use directly on wall murals or marouflage murals. Dries to a luster finish. Use with OverCoat UV Paint Protector for synergistic UV and "anti-graffiti" protection. Can be used over acrylic-based isolation barriers. Always test before use!

Consolidant - Not a Varnish! ColorShield™ is a consolidant, which means that when it is applied over acrylic and aerosol paint, it temporarily rewets and fuses paint layers together. We advise that ColorShield™ is sprayed in light coats and allowed to dry between applications. ColorShield™ can be carefully brushed or rolled.
